This Privacy Policy explains how Complyo — the GPSR & DPP Compliance app (“the App”, “we”, “us”), provided by Digit Grove — collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you install and use the App on your store.
1. Who we are
The App is developed and operated by Digit Grove. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@digitgrove.com.
2. Information we collect
We only collect the information needed to provide the App’s compliance features.
Store and account information
- Your store’s domain, store name, and primary contact email.
- Your current plan for the App, so we can apply the correct features and limits.
- An access token used to read and write product data on your behalf.
Compliance data you enter
- Economic operator details — manufacturer and EU responsible person names, addresses, and email addresses.
- Product safety information — warnings, care and safety instructions, and traceability fields such as model, batch, and serial.
- Digital Product Passport content you create.
- References to the products these records are attached to (product identifiers and titles).
Some operator details may constitute personal data (for example, a contact name or email). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to provide this information.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect, store, or process your customers’ or shoppers’ personal data.
- We do not use tracking cookies or advertising trackers.
3. How we use your information
- To store your compliance data and display it on your storefront product pages.
- To generate and host public Digital Product Passport pages and QR codes.
- To apply your plan’s features and usage limits.
- To send you a one-time welcome email after installation.
- To provide support and keep the App working correctly.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Where your data is stored
Your compliance data is stored in two places: in your store as product metafields, so it stays with your products, and in our application database. The App and its database are hosted on Google Cloud (Cloud Run) and Neon, in a European Union region. Public Digital Product Passport pages are served from the same infrastructure.
5. Service providers (sub-processors)
We rely on the following providers to operate the App. Each processes data only as needed to deliver its service:

6. Public passport pages
When you publish a Digital Product Passport, the information in that passport becomes publicly accessible at its unique URL and QR code. This is intentional — passports are designed to be viewed by shoppers, recyclers, and authorities. Please do not include confidential information in a published passport.
7. Data retention and deletion
- We keep your data for as long as the App is installed on your store.
- When you uninstall the App, we delete the data associated with your store.
- We honor mandatory privacy and data-erasure requests, including for shop data and customer data. Because we do not store customer data, customer redaction requests are acknowledged and require no action on our part.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to restrict or object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@digitgrove.com. You can also delete your data at any time by uninstalling the App.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
